Through direct reports, manages the day-to-day operations and direct supervision of the Human Resource Services team including Occupational Health and Safety, and Employee Health Services.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, worked closely with regional HR / H&S teams with direct accountability for HR planning and results (Performance Management, Recruitment, Recognition, Training and Development, Workforce Planning and Scheduling, Associate Engagement and Communication). Aligned initiatives to plant and MLF operations. Was responsible for management of Health and Safety issues and implementation of approved corporate health, safety, security and environmental initiatives to maintain compliance with Provincial OH&S legislation and analysis of accidents and work-related illnesses with recommended solutions.

Reporting to the Regional Human Resources Director with a dotted line relationship to the site General Manager, was responsible for site human resources support for 355+ employees. Key accountabilities included employee relations, performance management and discipline, workplace investigations, recruitment, compensation and benefits, training and development, disability management, counsel and support to supervisors/managers. Led a team of 5 human resources and scheduling professionals.

Reporting to the Director of Employee Relations and Occupational Health and Safety, leading a team of 11 human resources professionals, was responsible for multi-site human resources support for 3000+ employees. Key accountabilities included employee and labour relations (SEIU, ONA, OPSEU, OWU), recruitment, workplace investigations, performance management, compensation and benefits. Provided counsel and support to supervisors/managers.

Reporting to the Vice-President of Human Resources, leading a team of 7 human resources and payroll professionals, was responsible for multi-site human resources and payroll support for 950+ employees. Key accountabilities included employee and labour relations (NSNU, CUPE, NSGEU), performance management and discipline, workplace investigations, recruitment, counsel and support to supervisors and managers, compensation and benefits, payroll management.

Reporting to the Director of Finance and Administration, leading a team of 3 administrative professionals, was responsible for multi-site human resources, payroll and administrative support for 100+ employees. Key accountabilities included employee and labour relations (OPSUE), payroll and benefit administration, performance management and discipline, disability management, policy and procedure development, counsel and support to supervisors/managers, cash flow and financial reporting.
