I am a creative individual establishing a career in education. With a background in theatre and art, I have a fun time teaching topics such as set and lighting design, painting, drawing, sculpting, photography, and various other mediums. My goal as a teacher is for a student to learn in a safe, comfortable, and relaxed environment. Although classroom management can be difficult, I use creative solutions to keep students engaged. When working with a student, I do my best to understand where the student is coming from while taking in the context of the situation. It is important to me that I can recognize every facet of a given to best fit their educational needs. My favorite part of teaching is watching the "lightbulb" moment a student has when understanding a concept for the first time. Not only that, but reflecting on how much a student has grown in the 9-10 months they spend in that grade brings me so much joy.
