Expanding my role to include leading development teams has been a great fit, and I now lead the entire Portland development group (20 onsite engineers organized in to four product teams). Our main focus is a greenfield Gift Card ordering platform built with React and .NET core microservices.

My primary duties at Incomm were leading the QA team, acting as an SDET in owning and contributing to the test automation framework (NodeJS based, about half browser automation and half focused on RESTful APIs in a microservice architecture), and doing performance testing and security work.

PECI was a small energy efficiency non-profit with a software team that had, prior to my arrival, struggled along without formal QA. I was hired to build out a QA team there, however those plans were disrupted when PECI was acquired by Clearesult, a much larger for-profit with offices all over the country. I ended up being a bit of a jack of all trades there - mostly QA automation (Java/Selenium), some development, and some manual testing. I was laid off in Dec. 2015 as part of a large downsizing.

I was hired to build out a QA team for this local startup company, but due to cashflow and other issues, what I ended up doing was a little bit of everything. My primary duties were creating Android automated UI testing using Robotium and doing functional and performance validation on various RESTful endpoints in AWS clusters, but I also did some Java development and even spent a few weeks pinch-hitting as a product manager.

Directly responsible for the overall quality of the entire Analytics platform, test strategy and procedures, release management and sign-off, and leading a team of four local and twelve offshore QA engineers.

QA owner of the main Webtrends Analytics platform, which includes both On-Premises and SaaS solutions. Designed and implemented functional, performance and integration tests for the main Java UI, C++ analytical engine, REST-based web services, Apache-based tag server, and many other components. Designed and implented complete set of automated tests in C# for Webtrends Score application, using Visual Studio for Testers.

Phone and email support on all products, mentoring of other support engineers, support process development, escalation handling and (on a few occasions) on-site support for the largest Webtrends customers.
