After graduating United States Army Basic Combat Training, I then attended United States Army Advanced Individual Training at Fort Huachuca, Arizona with the 305th Military Intelligence Brigade from December 1, 2018 to August 12, 2019 where I participated in the six-month Geospatial Intelligence Imagery Analyst Course (242-35G10) with the United States Army Intelligence School. This course helped me develop the skills necessary to proficiently exploit various forms of geospatial imagery including but not limited to: Thermal Infrared, Multi-Spectral, Visible, National, Polarimetric, Hyperspectral, Electro-Optical, Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR), Synthetic Aperture Radar, Overhead Persistent Infrared, airborne full-motion video, as well as both Fixed and Moving Target Indicator (MTI) data. Additionally, this course also provided in-depth training on tactical imagery identification, Battle Damage Assessment (BDA), remote sensing, security classifications, map reading and analysis, imagery analysis techniques, briefing, symbology, targeting, as well as the preparation and production of imagery analysis reports that fused geospatial products. Lastly, this course also taught me how to utilize various geospatial software which helped me gain technical expertise within my MOS once I arrived at my first duty station in August 2019. While serving in the military intelligence community and holding a Top Secret (TS/SCI) security clearance for over two years, I provided Full-Motion Video (FMV) and imagery analysis in support of the Global War on Terror (GWOT). Additionally, I was responsible for exploiting FMV in a 24/7, 365-day multi-intelligence ARST watch floor under the 116th Military Intelligence Brigade. Throughout my active duty tenure, I served in various GEOINT positions, including roles such as screener (SCR), imagery analyst (IA), and moving target indicator analyst (MTI).
