I’m a marketing consultant for companies in the early stages of launching a product. I work with startups, new products and products that have stalled in the marketplace.I’ve launched – often with spectacular results – dozens of products into a variety of markets ranging from high tech to toys, software to sailboats, security to financial services. I’ve worked with startups who changed an industry and with established companies who needed a second life.As a consultant, I live in the space between the Client and the Customer, in the zone where businesses succeed or fail. In today’s entrepreneurial world, that encompasses three of Steve Blank’s “Four Steps to the Epiphany,” from ground-zero “Customer Discovery” to the go-to-market “Customer Creation” phases. On your Lean Canvas, I cover the five customer-centric blocks.Since moving to Miami I’ve worked with more than two dozen startups. I’m a volunteer venture coach at the University of Miami’s "Launch Pad.” I mentor global teams of entrepreneurs in Stanford Venture Lab MOOCs. I work with SCORE Miami. And I’m mentoring a number of Miami incubator/co-working space and “nomad” entrepreneurs.Miami is definitely my kind of town.

Ad AgencyAshton-Tate 1980 - 1984As a side note, while I was the Ashton-Tate ad agency, I used what I learned in a couple of UCLA programming classes to write a piece of software that sold 250,000 copies after they licensed it from me. I took the programming classes in self-defense, as I had bought my first PC the year before and things were a bit rough around the edges. To say the least :-)
