About Hal Pittman, Mba, Ma

Extensive experience leading people and teams, developing and implementing strategy, and managing change and crisis as a military general officer, corporate / government / non-profit executive, and board member. Serving in the U.S. Navy for more than 20 years in global external-facing roles, it was my privilege to lead award-winning communications teams during some of the military's most visible operations and crises. Following a full military career, I served as President and CEO of a sports and wellness non-profit before being recruited to Arizona's largest energy company in 2014. I returned to government service in 2021 as a Senior Executive Service (SES) civilian, before joining the Nuclear Regulatory Commission in 2024. I have testified before Congress, conducted hundreds of media interviews with national, local and trade media, and presented before public, government and business forums in the U.S. and internationally. I have also served as founder, chairman and board member for national and state-wide non-profit organizations. I strongly believe in life-long learning, and my passions are innovation, developing and leading people and teams and solving complex problems. All posts on this page represent my own personal views/opinions and are not representative of the U.S. Government, U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the U.S. Department of Defense, or any government agency.
