Nabucco Pipeline Project –Iraqi Border Sivas Section Front End Engineering Design (FEED) Studies-Nabucco is the new gas bridge from Asia to Europe and the flagship project in the Southern Corridor. It will be a pipeline to connect the world’s richest gas regions - the Caspian region, Middle East and Egypt - to the European consumer markets.The pipeline will link the Eastern border of Turkey, to Baumgarten in Austria - one of the most important gas turntables in Central Europe - via Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary. When completed the 3,300 km pipeline’s annual capacity will be 31 bcm. The construction of the pipeline is supported by the 2009 Intergovernmental Agreement signed in Ankara in July 2009, which harmonises the legal framework and grants stable and equal transport conditions for all partners and customers. Fichtner is in consortium with a local company in Turkey take the responsibility of FEED Studies for the stations. As being Resident Project Manager, Stations FEED Studies were held, through meetings, discussions, etc. with the Nabucco National Company (NNC) in Ankara. Coordination between the office in US – Germany and NNC was held.

Aim of the project is transfer the wastewater to Antalya WWTP. 2) (1995-1997) BAKAY (Big Ankara Sewer and Storm Water Project) Contract No: 1A (Southern Interceptor Sewer) $ 25,000,000 worth World Bank Financed Project (FIDIC Contract-Red Book) Pipe laying of 2,000 meters of 2,600 mm and 4,500 meters of 3,000 mm pipes and 26 large manholes for collection of waste water discharging to river. Aim of the project is transfer the wastewater to Ankara WWTP. Pipe laying and construction of concrete pipes at a depth of approximately 6,5 m by sheet piling. Responsible for the site management: staff mobilization, equipment and materials, work schedule. Continuous monitoring. Monthly progress interim payment. Contractual negotiations with the Client, Consulting firms and subcontractors.

1) ANKARAY (Ankara Light Rail (Railway) Project) - DM 650,000,000 worth Foreign Financed Project (FIDIC based Contract) (1994-1995) Construction of 8,5 km railway and 11 stations over the line. The project compromises also a post tensioned bridge and 2,5 km of boring tunnel. 160,000 m3 of excavation, 65,000 m3 of fill, 35,000 m2 of formwork, 2,600 tons of reinforcement, 54,000 m3 of concrete, 358 m of boring.
