Successfully completed the trainee programme for newly graduated engineers. This program saw me hold four different and challenging positions, the first as part of the IT delivery team for Marine PLM, secondly I worked as part of the sales team for packages of maritime equipment (including LNG solutions) for the merchant market, third as part of the local service delivery team in Singapore with focus on investigating new service solutions and finally as an integrated project team lead in the aerospace division in a new product development project in Berlin, Germany.Through each assignment I learned valuable lessons in technical knowledge, organizational cunning and project management, including the ability to handle stakeholders on different levels in a global organization. I learned to effectively plan and execute time limited projects with ambitious goals. Finally each assignment thought me multiple new viewpoints, this has generated an awareness that enables me to take better decisions accounting for more viewpoints than a purely technical.

Military service carried out on the 68 meter KNM Valkyrien - a converted anchor handlor tug supply vessel built 1981 formerly known as Stad Senior and Far Senior. Achieved the rank of "Utskrevet Ledende Menig", which is awarded to well performing privates.As a machine assistant I took part in the maintenance and operation of all the ships systems including four main engines of each 2640 bhp. At sea my responsibilities included watch-keeping in the machines, periodic maintenance and other duties. Between cruises I took part in multiple larger maintenance tasks such as valve clearance adjustments for the auxiliary engines.This experience taught me the value of team work, the performances seen in a well organized ship is only possible when everyone are trusted to master their tasks. Further the experience helped me understand when rank is important in a peer-based organization and of course the ins and outs of the ships engine room.

The apprenticeship was carried out at a steering gear factory, consisting of placements throughout the different departments of the plant.Skills obtained:-Manufacturing skills (welding, milling and turning)-Assembly and testing of marine equipment (valves, power packs and steering gears)Tasks carried out:-Assembly of steering gears-Servicing of winches-Welding of brackets and pipes-Manual milling and turning of different components such as valve parts, nuts and bolts-Maintenance and servicing of tooling machines
