As Traffic Operation Section Head, I was responsible for ensuring the mobility in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi by managing the 24x7 Traffic Management Centers. This involved monitoring Crisis management and Business Continuity measures, and adopting the necessary Procurement and Contract management strategies related to Traffic Management functions.I led Joint Incident Exercises with other Emergency Response Stakeholders, provided support and supervision in Traffic Management functions, and improved traffic network in Abu Dhabi through effective Traffic Engineering and Traffic Detour Management.Additionally, I managed all Traffic Management Centers functions, including Traffic Incident Management (TIM), using Traveler Information Systems, tracking incident responders and monitoring incidents, and integrating Advanced Traffic Management Systems. I also headed teams of in-house Engineers, Consultants, and Contractors for Tunnel/Traffic Operations and Maintenance.As part of my achievements, I conducted Joint Emergency Fire Drills for Road Tunnels with the participation of Emergency Response Stakeholders. I also spearheaded several short-medium term resolution projects for rehabilitating the traffic signal infrastructure for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, resulting in the reduction of traffic signal system failures.I initiated the Data-Warehousing Systems for Traffic Operation Functions (Data Connect, Unify, Predict) and successfully led "Performance Based Service Contract" projects with a combined value of around AED 100 Million. I provided technical management support for Road Tunnel Design and Construction Projects and championed the implementation of Integrated Tunnel Management Systems.
