Worked on staff files to ensure they are updated with relevant documents.• Developed Job descriptions for staff who didn’t have so as to avoid job ambiguity. • Assisted in renewing contracts for staff who were working with expired contracts.• Assisted the National coordinator with recruitment process, assisting in orientation of new staff members by making them get familiar with the work environment.• Assisted the HR Manager/ National Coordinator to work with department heads and supervisors to ensure performance appraisal is done on time, evaluating appraisal results and helping in developing appraisal reports, identifying performance gaps, training needs for staff with performance gaps.• Participated in Disciplinary hearings and grievance handling while ensuring that relevant laws of the land are complied with.• Coordinated meetings while ensuring that all schedules are followed closely, Welcoming and attending to visitors, answering phone calls, ensuring office equipment is maintained well, writing minutes for NTL and board meetings, among other administrative duties as may be assigned.Coordinated with insurance company regarding claims, resolution of problem cases and following up on the health insurance scheme, and ensuring staff members fill and submit medical forms on time, managing staff annual leave, sick leave and staff offs by ensuring that staff fill leave forms well and approved before taking the leave.• Ensured that organizational Safety and Healthy procedures are followed and respected by staff and other stakeholders.• Maintained and updated staff data and information safely with the highest degree of confidentiality.• Managed and conducted exit interviews for staff leaving the organization and ensuring that exit procedures are properly followed.• Worked on developing HR manual and ensuring that all staff members get a copy, read and understand the policies in the manual.
