As director of communications, I lead a dynamic team in crafting and executing communication strategies to enhance our global presence. My role involves developing and implementing integrated communication plans, managing media relations, and overseeing digital marketing initiatives. My role is to collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment. I monitor industry trends, conduct market research, and provide strategic recommendations to drive business growth.

Upon the breakdown of COVID-19, my university, NUC, faced great challenges in keeping in touch with its international students, especially those out of China. This is due to the fact that the Chinese Education Bureau carried out strict measures to control the pandemic, one of which is closing the borders and requiring students to undergo distance learning instead. I took the initiative to help. I have been in charge of communication between the office of international students in NUC and the NUC international students both inside China and abroad.

My work entailed teaching learners of English as a foreign language of all ages including young learners, teens, and adults. I wrote lesson plans, prepared activities, made formative evaluation tests, summative evaluation exams, grade reports, readers quizzes, writing activities, and so on. Outside of the classroom, I conducted competitions among classes and supported students in all aspects. I also was a part of the training team for newcomers. I conducted many training workshops.
