Professional treasury & banking background with high advanced analytical techniques supported by Graduate School of Banking- University of Wisconsin, MBA in Capital Markets, Diploma in Capital Markets, Treasury and Asset & Liability management track. In 2003 I joined the Treasury Department, where I started as a Fixed Income Trader for the Domestic Treasury Bills and Bonds, then in 2006 I worked as a Foreign Exchange Trader mainly for the G7 Currencies, then in 2008 I was prompted to act as the Head of Money Market and Fixed Income desk, where my role was managing the cash flow of the bank, managing the portfolio of Treasury Bills and Bonds in either Foreign and Local currency, managing money market transactions and deals (taken ,placed and swaps).In 2013 I was asked to act as the Minister of Finance Consultant, managing Egypt's Debt for Local and Foreign currency. I spent there around 7 months, launched a new debt instrument which is the zero Coupon Bond, we set a EMTN program (European medium term notes) under which Egypt could Borrow Bonds at any time through that program. We issued two Eurobonds. My responsibility to cover the Budget Deficit through borrowing from local market by setting the issue calendar of Treasury Bills and Bonds , while managing and dealing with the risk of refinancing that deficit.In October 2013 I went back to National Bank of Egypt to join the Liquidity, Asset and Liability Management Department, my role is initiate the unit responsible for Fund Transfer Pricing(FTP), report and monitor growth of the products on both sides asset and liability, report market surveys for funding side products across the domestic market for local and foreign currency, define the investing and funding strategy and other related reports that may be needed from the (The Asset and Liability Committee ALCO).
