I was first introduced to the rideshare industry in 2014, when I explored driving for Lyft as a way to earn some extra income with the goal of saving up for a down payment. With my recruiting and sales background, I became more interested in recruiting drivers than driving. For several years, I went on a journey to promote ridesharing and formed a company with a friend of mine along the way. A shift in regulations helped us realize that the vehicle inspection was the step during the driver onboarding process that caused the biggest dropoff of driver activations. Hence, we sought a way to reduce the friction and Rideshare Mechanic was formed. We now serve thousands of drivers with our unique process that improves driver onboarding operations for various industries such as rideshare, peer to peer, NEMT, and others, by using video chat to conduct the inspection from wherever the vehicle is.
