Elsewedy Electric is a multi disciplinary foundation investing and developing projects in many sectors.As a design director and member of the engineering team my role is to manage all design activities related to a portfolio of projects including issuing RFPs to consultants, biddings assessment, technical review, follow up on design progress against timeline, mitigation plans, issuing construction tender packages and following up and giving support during construction.In the Educational Sector we successfully achieved the design and construction of phase 1 & 2 of the "Knowledge Hub Universities" at the new administrative capital.We are currently progressing in the design works of "Elsewedy University of Technology" at 10th of Ramadan (planned to operate by September 2023).We achieved the design and construction works of 2 schools in collaboration with "Elsewedy Technical Academy" STA.In the Industrial Sector we are giving support in the renovation and expansion works of many factories owned by "Elsewedy Electric". We also achieved the design works of ISKRAEMCO extension factory.In the Administrative Sectors we successfully managed the design and construction works of Elsewedy Electric new headquarter at Cairo Festival City with a gross built up area of 23,000 square meters. We also successfully managed the design and construction works of the admin office of "Elsewedy Capital" at the Waterway 5A.

“Elsewedy Education” is an education investment and management company affiliated to “Elsewedy Electric”. The company is established to serve in the higher educational sector in Egypt by providing a world-class Knowledge Hub (The Knowledge Hub Universities) located in the new administrative capital.About the Project:Elsewedy Education appointed one of the top ranked international design consultancy firms (Gensler) to conduct the master planning studies and design through concept and schematic design phases.The campus gross area is approximately 218,000 Sq.m. (52 Feddan).The planned built up area is almost 250,000 Sq.m. consisting of academic buildings, students housing, sports & facility buildings, landscape & open areas.The project will be constructed in phases with a total capacity of 15,500 students.About my role as a Design Director:1. Sharing with the top management in the strategic decisions related to the project planning and development.2. Setting the design management plans with the international and local consultants.3. Setting proper communication channels with all involved parties in the design process.4. Setting proper communication channels with authorities for approvals.5. Assigning tasks to subordinates and ensuring proper workflow and task achievement.6. Follow up on all design works with consultants, and conducting periodical review on design outputs to comply with the Elsewedy Education standards.7. Monitoring the design progress against timelines and strategic objectives.8. Ensuring proper spread of information among the engineering team.9. Supporting the process of construction tendering with relevant information and effort till concluding a successful award.10. Supporting in value engineering sessions.11. Ensuring proper coordination between design works and construction process on site.12. Supporting the Business Development and Marketing departments with design information.

As a Senior design manager my role is to handle and manage design packages in one of the most prestigious projects in the north coast of Egypt named Marassi (client: Emaar), and fulfilling the following tasks:-Preparing requests for proposal (RFPs)for tendering process of design services.-Appraising technical and financial offers received from bidders for consultancy & design services.-Initiating design process with successful design firm and ensuring the delivery of required and relevant data necessary for design kickoff.-Managing the design procedure in several projects and several milestones.-Handling regular design meetings.-Reviewing design documents submitted for each milestone.-Monitoring design progress against project's timeline and continuous follow up with consultants.-Preparing design progress reports.-Coordination between involved parties in the design process.-Interacting with Turner project management team for cost, scheduling & contracts-Monitoring projects' cost estimates against client's allocated budgets.-Ensuring proper documentation throughout projects' life cycle.-Contributing in post tender meetings with client and bidders.-issuing recommendations for the client's best interest.

•Leading the architectural site supervision staff at EMAAR uptown Cairo project– Mokatam.Role and responsibilities:-Assigning tasks and responsibilities to the staff, concerning inspections and shop drawings review and approval. -Handling the review of material submittals from contractors and ensuring compliance with technical specifications. -Solving problems concerning design technical issues. Handling requests for info (RFI's) submitted by the contractors. -Coordinating construction composite drawings (including all electro mechanical works) with the architectural drawings.-Reviewing and approving method statements submitted for each construction activity.-Monitoring & evaluating the construction process on site through the periodical quality and progress meetings with the contractors. -Attending technical meetings with the design and construction teams of both parties Emaar (owner) and Turner int. (project manager).

•participated in the initial concept up to the final design stages in the following projects:-Jebel Ali airport ancillary buildings -fuel staging (UAE)-Makah Hills residential complex (Saudi Arabia): the project is located nearby the holly mosque at MAKKAH. The project consists of 17 residential towers with various heights from 40 to 80 floors, and a main podium of 8 floors including commercial, admin., food courts, prayer halls, electro-mech. Services.

•Achieving the planning of the central commercial area of this resort community (land area = 96,000 square meters) also achieving the design and preparing the tender & construction drawings of its buildings.•Achieving the design of a five stars hotel located left to the central commercial area .Also leading teamwork to achieve its tender & construction drawings including all GRC cladding details for the facades and the outer envelope.•Planning the palaces residential sector (land area = 94,000 sq. meters) & making a proposal for some types.•Supervising the construction of the central commercial area (The OLD TOWN).

• Participated as a member of teamwork to achieve the construction drawings of a large commercial center named (DREAMLAND) located at 6th of October city. The center is consisting of restaurants, commercial buildings, cinemas, children theatre & playgrounds, admin. Building.•Participated as a member of teamwork to achieve the construction drawings of a five stars hotel located at EL EIN EL SOKHNA named (HILTON EL SOKHNA.)
