In my role as Project Lead & Optical Transmission Specialist at Smartoptics, my efforts are fully concentrated on developing our DCP-R products for advanced network needs and the SW suite that will be used for network management in an open optical networking environment.Being the lead optical engineer and transmission expert, the responsibilities include an active role in the design of the later SO DCP products and especially for the DCP-R series. Ensuring that the designed and developed products deliver significant performance margins when it comes to the critical performance parameters. Great emphasis is also placed on the fact that our products are not only highly innovative but also deliver state of the art performance in a one rack unit (1U) size format for DWDM based optical networking solutions. The work also involves rigorous contact with suppliers based all over the world to determine product specifications and requirements in the design phase along with feedback after the testing and verification phases.

Developer & designer for high-speed optical and electrical interconnect solutions for future 5G applications. Actively involved in pre-dev innovation projects involving fiber-optical communication links for 5G and beyond. Also responsible for investigation and mapping of EMI and EMC problems during the design and product testing phases. The work involved continuous and detailed contact with multiple suppliers to determine product specifications and requirements in the design phase along with feedback after the testing and verification phases.

During my PhD, I worked extensively in the fields of quantum optics and quantum information, laser, imaging, optical microscopy and optronics. I developed a strong technical background and acquired experience in constructing complete optical and opto-mechanical systems, optical spectrometers and especially optical interferometers.In many of my projects, we collaborated extensively and successfully with world class European research institutes where in the scope of these collaborations, several experiments using single quantum systems for applications in quantum communication and quantum information resulted in a number of publications in peer reviewed journals.

Responsibilities included direct involvement in constructing, testing, and delivering two complete optical and electronic systems for student experiments in quantum optics courses, which were sold to two universities (Uppsala and Linköping Universities) within Sweden. I also trained the employees to efficiently handle and operate these systems.
