As publisher for Romance languages and Human sciences, I was the manager of an editorial team focused on bringing new publications for secondary education to market. This meant collaborating with authors and various stakeholders, balancing the budget and managing various publishing projects. In this role, I reported to the publishing manager.

The deputy publisher is first and foremost a project manager, planning for various publications and keeping a team of authors on track. There was still a lot of editorial review involved, as well as some administrative support for the publisher.

At the Royal Flemish Philharmonic (now Antwerp Symphony Orchestra), I was the press officer and the person responsible for commercial publications and direct marketing (brochures, quarterly magazine, flyers...). When a colleague left the team, I also took on the role of webmaster.
