Isfahan Metro is a public transportation system in Isfahan city. The construction of Isfahan city train started in 1380. Isfahan city train organization is responsible for the construction of city train within the city of Isfahan. There are 3 city train lines for Isfahan city; Line 1 is north to south, line 2 is east to west and line 3 is south to west. Also, some nearby cities are connected to Isfahan metro lines through this system. There are 20 active metro stations in Isfahan. The operational operations of Isfahan metro line 2 will start from the beginning of 2018, and the tunnels will be dug from the northeast by two machines with a diameter of 6.5 meters and from the west by one machine with a diameter of 9.5 meters.
