As Operations Director at the Pleasance Theatre Trust, I planned and delivered the largest venue operation on the Edinburgh Festival Fringe - which welcomes over 560,000 visitors across 3 sites in August. Key responsibilities included;• Strategic planning of business, festival and charitable goals.• Budgeting and financial management up to £1.6million.• Fundraising, sponsorship and partnerships.• Recruitment and management of 300+ staff - managing all elements of company HR.• Managing an annual programme of 260+ international productions.• Operations and facilities management of all Edinburgh sites.• Relationship management of contractors and key stakeholders.• Legal and operational compliance, including health & safety, insurance and licensing.• Deputising for the Director and working on behalf of the Board of Trustees.

At Secret Cinema (formerly Future Shorts), I played a key role in the early-stage development of the business, which is renowned for its immersive 'live cinema' events. Key responsibilities included; • Producing live immersive events, film premieres and screenings audiences up to 8000.• Developing sponsorship campaigns for clients including Microsoft, Stella Artois, Honda and Ford.• Developing and managing budgets for projects in the UK, USA and Europe.• Launching and coordinating monthly global film festival, “Future Shorts ONE”.• Developing company HR and financial systems.• Managing permanent and temporary event staff.
