With a focus on growing the company internationally as a member of the leadership team I have supported and led elements of establishing the UK and US businesses, ultimately growing a scalable, global financial services platform with unique competitive advantage. A significant portion of this role has involved leading the onboarding of partners and the integration of overseas offices with the Australian business. Previous Governance roles include Company Secretary responsibilities, member of executive management committee, attendee at audit Risk and Compliance Committee, and a Responsible Manager for BFM’s Australian Financial Services Licence.Previous Finance role includes operation of the finance function including reporting, forecasting, budgeting, cash flow management, taxation, payroll and associated operations.Previous Operations role included responsibility for oversight of day to day unit trust administration including unit pricing, management of external administrators, income distributions and tax compliance.

Appointed to help the business build capability in finance, in a period of market volatility and uncertainty, I co-led a number of process, systems and people initiatives to ensure the integrity of operations. During my tenure, as part of the team, I engineered efficiencies in cash flow and P&L management while providing high-quality reporting to the market on time and with accuracy. GLG Partners listed on the NYSE in November 2008 and additional work included assistance with prospectus preparation, implementation of Sarbanes Oxley internal controls and ongoing US GAAP reporting.

Manage consistency of the methodology used to price and report financial instruments in Citigroup’s EMEA Investment Bank division, including preparation of a monthly report summarising pricing methodologies employed across 32 countries and discussing results with senior management and external auditors.Preparation of a monthly report on departmental expenses and headcount (headcount approximately 230) including discussions with senior management and external auditors.Assistance with testing functionality of internal controls.

Broad exposure to a range of company, trust and individual taxation compliance and consulting matters. Responsibile for income tax, GST, FBT, withholding tax and transfer pricing compliance. Research and preparation of tax advice for clients and submissions to the Inland Revenue in relation to complex areas of taxation law, including presentation at client training sessions.Role included a full time secondment at Telecom New Zealand Limited for nine months. Secondment role included research and advice on a wide range of areas of tax law, answering general tax queries from company staff, preparation of provisional tax estimates and assistance with quarter end tax calculations and audit.
