I am an accountant and software entrepreneur with a passion for building innovative solutions and leveraging technology in the accounting industry. As the Co-founder of Xero, a leading global accounting software platform, I have played a pivotal role in revolutionising the way small businesses manage their finances. I was pivotal in the early growth of Xero where I helped shape the product and grew the customer base in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom by leveraging my accountancy background. Firmcheck was born out of the need for AML compliance software in the UK, specifically for accountants – months of research led us to build a completely new tool, that has been designed specifically to meet the needs of the UK market.

Co-FounderXero Jan 2006 - Dec 2013Nz & UkDuring my entire time at Xero I was on the Board of Directors and essentially ran the 'accounting/accountant' part of Xero. My initial role at Xero was as CFO which included completing the IPO in June of 2007. I assisted with the hiring of all staff, development of the product, marketing and sales. In late 2007 I relocated to the UK and became the GM for UK, establishing the market. In early 2010 I relocated back to NZ as Global Head of Sales and helped to establish the Australian market, evolve the UK market and grow the NZ market.
