I have always had a deep passion/interest for sustainability and the environment. I have 3 renewable energy engineering degrees from France, Portugal and New Zealand. I have over a decade of experience in designing, installing and servicing solar energy systems all over the world. I am the Founder and Lead Engineer for Greener Ltd. We specialise in commercial and residential solar energy system that maximise financial and environmental benefits for our clients.

Summer InternPro-Drone Jul 2015 - Aug 2015Lisbon Area, PortugalI was a summer intern for 1 month. My tasks included building a test rig for the drone, building a mock wind turbine blade and building a housing to transport the drone.It was a great opportunity to work with an amazing team and further develop my design/build skills. I was also able to learn a great deal about what makes a start-up business succeed or fail. -
Solar EngineerHybrid Social Solutions, Inc. (Hssi) May 2014 - Jul 2014PhilippinesI spent 3 months working for HSSi, which is a for profit social organisation based in Manila, supplying solar technology to developing communities in the Philippines. In particular I spent 1 month working in Eastern Visayas, which was the area most devastated by the destructive Haiyan typhoon. We installed over 40 small PV systems in birthing centers across the islands. These systems were intended for back-up lighting and charging in an emergency situation. This was a very challenging and rewarding experience. I enhanced my technical skills and experience, whilst getting a valuable insight into the social benefits of solar technology in communities which are especially susceptible to natural disasters. -

They design, supply, install and maintain residential size solar systems for developing communities in rural Myanmar. BuilderSelf Employed Apr 2012 - Jun 2013Gisborne & Hawkes Bay, New ZealandBuilt a 200m^2 beach house for my parents. Began with a patch of grass and saw the project through to completion. For the first 8 months I was working with an experienced builder and alongside him carried out such tasks as:- Foundations (concrete slab)- Standing, straightening and plumbing frames- Fixing trusses and rafters- All aspects of roofing- Installing windows- External and internal cladding- Insulation - Electrical wiring- Plumbing and gas fittingUsing the knowledge I gained over this period I continued to work over the folllowing 8 months by myself, undertaking such tasks as:- Painting- Installing kitchen- Making and installing bathroom and office joinery- Landscaping (grassing, storm-water, garden beds, fencing)- Courtyard and outside living - Built 2 decksBuilding the house has been a tremendous learning exercise for me and I look forward to developing my design and build skills throughout my engineering career.

Photovoltaic Designer And InstallerEcocare Pacific Jun 2012 - Jul 2012TongaWas part of a team of volunteers from the University of Canterbury installing photovoltaic systems in Tongan high schools. We designed, procured and installed five 8kW systems. The mission was funded by New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT). I lead the installation team and carried out such tasks as:- Onsite adjustments of theoretical design to suit real world situation- Finalization of design- Taught install procedure to all members of our team, both foreign and local.- Carried out/oversaw: - Roof penetrations - Rail mounting - Panel mounting - Inverter mounting- Wiring (Panels, inverter, earth, meters)- Commissioning Not only did I learn a lot about photovoltaic systems, but I also took away valuable information concerning the operations and intricacies of aid missions such as thing one.
