Hamish Watt studied architecture at the University of Sydney in Australia. He graduated in 2004 with First Class Honours and was awarded the Ruskin Rowe Prize for Architectural Design.During his career Hamish has developed a high level of expertise in complex building types including education, high-rise commercial and integrated station development.In 2019 Hamish re-joined Foster + Partners as project lead for the Lendlease Circular Quay Tower project, a 55 storey commercial tower addressing Sydney’s iconic harbour. As project architect Hamish was responsible for the day-to-day running of the project working across numerous aspects of the design and its delivery. Prior to the establishment of Foster + Partners studio in Sydney, Hamish worked in both the London and Shanghai studios where he was involved in a variety of international projects including delivery of Shanghai Riverside, a series of three 80-metre-high office towers on a prime waterfront site.Since commencing his career in 2005, Hamish has built up extensive knowledge of Sydney’s local planning and building regulations having worked across several state significant mixed use infrastructure projects. Further to his local experience, Hamish has been a registered architect with the NSW Architects Registration Board since 2008.
