I provide general and operations management services to clients in upstream energy sector, across New Zealand, Australia, PNG and the Middle East.I am experienced managing significant environmental and personnel risks, and community engagement sensitivities. I have been inserted into projects to specifically improve client relationships and review the operational model to identify performance efficiencies.

I supported the commercial and technical areas of the company’s exploration business. I was involved in the development and implementation of exploration strategies and actively sought and ranked new investment opportunities. I developed a project ranking database that the company used to make data-driven and impartial investment decisions.

I built the technical datasets and promotional material to support the release of acreage, through a competitive tender process, by the Government to the petroleum exploration industry. I led procurement programs on behalf of the Government, acquiring new geological data and services to support the industry in New Zealand. This included successfully contributing to the acquisition of a large multi-client survey and sourcing funding for a collaborative research program.

International

I led and managed numerous remote projects in Egypt involving significant responsibility and resources including up to 400 people and 100 vehicles. I thrived on the large variety of engagement in this role, including fostering client relationships, mentoring direct reports and building a rapport with a variety of stakeholders. With a focus on risk management I led improvements to operational performance in a dynamic political setting. I also implemented longer-term strategic planning and drove HSE performance.

International

I led and mentored a small team of geoscientists providing rapid data processing and QC supporting large scale data acquisition projects. My focus in this role was improving the systems and processes used to analyse large volumes of time-critical data through efficiently using resources and developing knowledge across the team.

International

As a QC Seismologist I was involved in all aspects of seismic acquisition design, data processing and in-field QC. I developed expertise in 2D, 3D, desert, arctic and shallow water OBC environments/methods. I was based on crews in numerous countries (Oman, Qatar, Libya, United States, Kazakhstan and Egypt). These crews worked for Shell, Chevron, Apache and Encana, among others.

New Zealand, Australia

I contributed to the management and technical support of an intensive remote seismic and geotechnical monitoring system in an underground mine in NSW, Australia. This included the development and installation of monitoring systems enabling the safe management of the mine.
