This imbalance led to a sharp decline in profit margins, compelling us to make the difficult decision to wind down the business. -

Notable results include:- The SME department reached a gross profitability of $100M from zero in three years.- Most branches were seen to become profitable just two months (it's a record) after opening.- The bank expanded from 80 to 300 branches, fueled by the dynamism of SME Banking. Over 1000 experienced bankers were quickly transferred from Pamukbank.- Moved to the technology sector just a few days before the announcement of the bank's sale, which escalated from a valuation of $70M to a sale price of $6B in 3.5 years. -
