I am a lawyer based in the Commercial Law Group at the Government Legal Department. I specialise in Commercial Litigation, Public Procurement Law, Contractual Disputes and ADR.

Hammad qualified in 2006 and is an Associate Solicitor in the Dispute Resolution Department. He joined Teacher Stern in 2013 as part of the merger with Butcher Burns LLP, whom he had joined in 2011 from a Legal 500 firm based in Manchester.He has extensive experience in a diverse range of contentious matters, with particular focus on complex contract litigation, injunctions of all types, recovery and enforcement of judgments both in the UK and abroad and cross-jurisdiction Sale of Goods claims. Hammad represents clients in arbitration proceedings and has done so in cases via the London Court of International Arbitration and also cases that fall under the scope of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law arbitration rules. He is frequently instructed to deal with high value negotiated settlements, conducted via the various forms of alternative dispute resolution. This includes, mediation, without prejudice meetings both with and without clients and with and without bank finance and security involvement, adjudication and via the Ombudsmen service. Hammad also forms part of a team of solicitors at Teacher Stern LLP specialising in sports law. We advise sportsmen, sportswomen, agents and sports clubs on contracts, contract negotiations, employment matters, disputes and regulatory issues.
