I joined Acrux Technologies as a Software Engineer in 2014. My first task was to design a head-mounted tactical monitoring system for security guards. Within six months, I developed the MVP using a Raspberry Pi, HD camera, and RTP protocol to stream audio and video to the control room. This system enabled guards to communicate effectively and allowed the control room to monitor the premises in real-time, detecting anomalies efficiently.Next, I was assigned to create a Sniper Simulator for defense training. This involved developing a simulated environment with various targets displayed on a screen. We modified a sniper rifle to integrate with the 3D environment, enabling trainees to practice shooting at static and moving targets. Detailed reports were generated after each session to highlight improvement areas. This cost-effective training tool is still in use by the military.I also developed a ride-sharing product for a client, similar to Uber. The MVP was successful and fully functional, demonstrating our capability to deliver complex software solutions.During my four years at Acrux Technologies, I led the simulator project, which enhanced my project management skills. I gained in-depth knowledge of integrating various technologies to create innovative products. Significant challenges included incorporating an IMU and refining data to enhance soldiers' skills, tracking soldiers' periscope views on the screen, and simulating a fisheye view on the sniper scope using sensors.Our Sniper Simulator project was showcased at the 2019 IDEAS exhibition in Karachi, receiving tremendous interest and positive feedback, generating valuable leads.My time at Acrux Technologies was incredibly rewarding, allowing me to develop a wide range of skills that I continue to use today.
