Project Engineering Intern
During my internship at James Hardie, I implemented lean methodologies and Six Sigma practices, leading to significant operational improvements: an 18% increase in shipping efficiency, a 14% boost in production output, and a 23% enhancement in raw materials utilization. I engineered high-torque transmissions and a robust engine with 1000 ft/lb of torque, demonstrating my ability to tackle complex mechanical design challenges. I also developed parts for the soffit line using advanced laser-cutting technology, which improved precision and quality control. My role involved designing custom parts with AutoCAD, streamlining production processes, and effectively leading a team of contractors in assembly. This experience highlighted my skills in both innovative design and efficient project management.
