Operations Manager
Current• Manage Operations Department/Team with Key Account Managers handling perishables imports in United Kingdom for various customers.• Handling 150-200 container movement weekly across Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia & South America to ensure the product get delivered to major supermarkets and warehouses across the United Kingdom.• Managed road transport of Perishable goods to and from United Kingdom to Netherlands/Ireland.• Creating T1 movements and Export Declaration for customer moving perishable goods across Europe.• Liaising with shipping lines for release including OBL, Telex or SWB.• Liaising with government authorities such as National Clearance Hub (NCH) in regard to holds, route 1/2, manual clearances, etc.• Liaising with Department of Environment Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) for holds related to Physical/Documents/ID for arrivals into United Kingdom.• Booking transportation with major Hauliers across different ports in United Kingdom.• Arranging pallets delivery services from different depots across United Kingdom.• Intermediate knowledge of customs entries using CNS/CHIEF/CDS with extensive background using CARGOWISE system.
