As the first head of the Communications and Marketing department at Visions of Science, a charity that seeks to increase representation in STEM fields, I designed and implemented a variety of communications strategies ranging from a high-level strategic communications plan that serves as a plan of action to reach key stakeholders, to specific strategies that serve to optimize each social media platform and improve CRM. I strived to develop compelling messaging and implement storytelling techniques that move people to action and serve as the foundation for all marketing activities including public relations, donor communications, and digital campaigns. Additionally, I managed relationships with prominent funders and corporate partners, including RBC, TD, AMD and more, as well as worked closely with internal teams to ensure cohesive branding and messaging across all communication channels.
