Management of the residential construction process that involves scheduling subcontractors, material vendors, site surveys, city inspections, sales agent needs/contract addendums and all other aspects of building a new home. Weekly submission of completed job invoices and superintendent-sales agent meetings to maintain an on-schedule build. Onsite management and quality control of the home building process along with new homeowner orientation that results in a happy homebuyer.

I manage the ordering process for local home builders and building material retailers through through the phone, email, and our Ponderosa customer management software. My day to day involves answering inbound sales calls, placing stock orders, quoting and closing special projects, and updating customers on shipping information, pricing, and returns. I focus on local new construction projects from the planning process and entering blueprint takeoffs, to coordinating any pickup of excess material once the house is completed. My role requires excellent time management, customer service, and knowledge of building material products. I am still very new to the industry and would like to further my knowledge of construction and build new professional relationships.

Account management of seven distribution centers in the Memphis area. Daily duties included interaction with customers regarding current workforce and resolving customer needs, recruiting new associates for positions of need, and preparing those associates for their new positions. Weekly duties included preparing payroll reports, headcount reports, and reconciling invoices. Onsite representation for clients that included counseling employees, meeting with client’s supervisors, and administering random drug screenings.

Closes sales by building rapport with the potential account, explaining product and service capabilities, overcoming objections, and preparing contracts. Liason between GENCO and its customers, responsible for communication between the client and the distribution center to ensure that customer expectations and KPI's are met from both a customer service and operational perspective in GENCO's receiving and inventory control departments. Works with management to ensure continuous improvement that meets ever changing customer requirements.Monitors issues affecting the quality and level of service of on-time shipments, ensures that issues are resolved, and responds to customer requests. Also responsible for gathering and updating inventory levels and receiving information in Genco's warehouse management system, as well as updating the customer about time-sensitive changes.

Inventory research using Technicolor's database management system across its five Memphis area warehouses. Responsible for distributing this information through created reports using Excel and over the phone to sales support staff. Also accountable for notifying Technicolor customers of delayed shipment arrivals due to backordered items.
