I supervised a group of software developers in Enterprise Applications at Appalachian State University who support University Advancement, Financial Aid and Auxiliary Systems (May 2016-Jan 2022). After a reevaluation of Enterprise Applications, now I supervise a broader group that serves a broader audience - all of Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, University Advancement and Emergency Services. I went from supervising 3 other developers to now supervising 9 other developers.I've been responsible for converting custom Banner forms (Oracle Forms) to a new web-based architecture utilizing NodeJS and VueJS since support for Oracle Forms is ending at the end of 2018. I have been the technical lead for the use of NodeJS/Express for the backend work in the new web-based architecture. I have also written a few front-end forms utilizing VueJS with VUEX. I have also been tasked with making sure the backend is secure, mitigating known vulnerabilities.Convinced other managers in Enterprise Applications that Python should be used to rewrite SQR scripts that need to be rewritten due to end of life for the language. I created a local Python library for common functionality that each script should utilize (database connection, report headers, sending emails, etc). I have documented how to set up the development environment using VS Code and best practices for common functions.I am currently exploring Python for web development, to expand the developer base for our web applications. Flask seems like a natural jump from ExpressJS however, I'm also watching FastAPI as it develops.

Write software solutions to help users across campus with their day-to-day processes. Everything I do relates to an Oracle database using PL/SQL stored procedures/functions to generate reports, modify web pages, import/export data...Created web application to manage scholarships - Student Application, Committee Review, Scholarship configuration. Also, generate several reports using the scholarship data.
