Hi there! I'm Olivia, a digital marketer with a love for brand strategy and partnerships. I specialize in affiliate marketing, content, and media strategy for small businesses.However, it has been quite a journey to get here, and I'd like to share a little bit about my background. I graduated in 2015 with a BA in journalism. I deeply enjoyed my studies but knew life in a newsroom was not for me. I spent the next few years working various sales and freelance brand ambassador positions, helping startups in Baltimore grow, and even moving to San Diego to join the sales team for a growing DTC jewelry brand. I was able to dip my toe into some marketing projects in a few of these roles, but sales and client experience were always my primary responsibilities. When Covid-19 hit, I landed back in my hometown to help out my family. I joined Thinkful's digital marketing program and something instantly clicked. Waking up every morning to create content, develop strategy, and learn more about digital marketing was a rewarding way to spend a stressful year. I was able to marry my love of marketing with my passion for shiny rocks, spending two years as the content manager turned affiliate director at NYC-based custom jeweler, Frank Darling. In this jack of all trades role, I developed the brand's successful content strategy, created social media content, spearheaded marketing special projects, and launched the company's affiliate marketing program. I am excited to expand my knowledge of and passion for media strategy in my next adventure!I love talking branding, social media, art and pop culture.
