CurrentPosition #2 - Managing Publicist - Arcadia Publishing, The History Press, and Pelican Press• Develop and implement creative and strategic frontlist and backlist marketing campaigns for the Pelican imprint with the goal of driving sales.• Write press communications, including engaging press releases and creative and thoughtful pitches to local and national media outlets.• Research national, local and specialty media using Cision and develop media contacts particularly within Louisiana. Work to obtain trade reviews where appropriate.• Manage the creation of one-off title marketing materials for Pelican and Arcadia (custom catalogs, one sheets, etc)• Investigate new outlets, creative opportunities, innovative campaigns to reach broader audiences.• Work closely with the editorial, publicity and sales teams to collaborate on relevant frontlist and backlist campaigns.• Manage author event appearances and bookstore signings on the Arcadia/THP side• Submit titles to awards as necessary• Travel to regional and national trade shows as needed• Contribute to the evaluation of the potential of new titles (Pelican and Arcadia)Position #1 - Field Sales RepresentativeAccomplishments•Travel to states in my territory promoting frontlist titles, and Arcadia Programs & Services, in order to land new accounts and revive dormant ones•Exceeded unadjusted annual sales goals during Covid-19 by utilizing my communication skills via phone and email•Collaborated on strategy to land multi-roof, independent grocery, hardware, and feed store chains during a time when my entire client base consisted of what the government deemed "non-essential" accounts•Pitch title and author ideas to the Editorial Department•Attend national and regional trade shows promoting Arcadia Publishing’s titles as well as programs and services
