Within SEB, Group Financial Management is responsible for the bank's financial strategy and balance sheet management. Activities performed within the department include:- overall balance sheet strategy and management- central business control and financial steering- capital management of overall capitalization of the group as well as the allocation of capital across divisions- monitoring and interpretation of rules and regulatory requirements relating to capital, liquidity, overall balance sheet and corporate structure- strategic plans for the group's liquidity and funding including liquidity risk limits and the group''s internal funds transfer pricing framework- responsibility for the group Asset & Liability Committee- representation of SEB in the Swedish Bankers' Association- handeling of contacts with regulators and polititians to influence the development of new regulation, both domestically and in regulatory centers such as Bruxelles and BaselAdditional duties of the Head of Group Financial Management include sitting on the Group Asset & Liability Committee, Group Risk Committee and the Finance & Risk venture board. Group Financial Management also act as a sounding board for the Group Executive Committe and Board of Directors on everything from the effect on the financial system from regulatory change to consequences of changes in macro conditions and technological development.
