I am a PhD student deeply engaged in addressing the critical challenges of water scarcity and increased evapotranspiration demands threatening Mediterranean agriculture under climate change scenarios. My thesis, titled 'Approach to Irrigation Management Based on the Combination of Plant Sensors, Mechanistic Physiological Modeling, and Remote Sensing,' aims to devise a novel irrigation management strategy that integrates mechanistic models, satellite remote sensing, and in-situ sensors to enhance water use efficiency in perennial crops, with a focus on olive orchards.
