I am a PhD researcher looking into the self supervised learning of perception from interaction. How we do it as humans and how we can implement it as algorithms.I leverage my background in mathematics and computer science to formalize aspects of biological perception and to design learning algorithms that rely solely on consistency to recover the structure of the environment.Prior to my PhD, I completed a MSc at Tsinghua University, Beijing China where I worked on explaining the emergence of pitch perception from exposure to natural sounds through unsupervised learning.I worked for 1 year at Schlumberger on simulations and optimizers with C++ resulting in a patented optimization heuristic permitting the optimization of large scale production systems.My background in mathematics and physics is mainly due to my years at Centrale Paris (now CentraleSupelec) as well as to the preparatory classes.
