As a Software Development Intern at the Cloud Computing Research Lab at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), I contributed to frontend development, focusing on improving the user experience and functionality of a healthcare-related website. My role involved redesigning the website interface to ensure it was intuitive, responsive, and aligned with modern web standards, making it easier for patients and healthcare providers to interact with the platform.Additionally, I gained exposure to Apache Tomcat, learning how to optimize web server performance and ensure seamless application management. Beyond development, I assisted the team’s research efforts by exploring cybersecurity and offering insights that contributed to the lab's broader objectives.This internship allowed me to expand my expertise in web development while also strengthening my skills in Java programming and cybersecurity. It further sharpened my ability to collaborate within a fast-paced research environment, delivering solutions that enhanced both performance and user experience. The experience has not only prepared me for future challenges in software development but has also strengthened my commitment to creating user-centered solutions in the tech industry.

During my internship at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, I had the opportunity to apply data science and machine learning to real-world healthcare challenges. I worked with technologies such as Hadoop, Apache Pig, Apache Hive, and Apache Spark to analyze large healthcare datasets efficiently. I also collaborated on a project using the YOLO model to improve breast cancer detection by categorizing mammograms as malignant, benign, or normal.In addition, I tested the LLama 3 chatbot, ensuring its responses were accurate and aligned with its training data. I explored deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch, applying them in practical machine learning tasks. Another focus of my work was converting natural language into SQL queries, where I researched NLP-driven approaches instead of traditional hard-coded rules.To expand my understanding of machine learning, I further developed my skills in computer vision by working with the OpenCV library and completing relevant online courses.This internship has been a key part of my journey, providing hands-on experience with AI and data science technologies, particularly in the healthcare sector. It has helped me align my skills with the demands of today's data-driven world.

As the Technical Head of the Karachi Grammar School Robotics & Engineering Society, I oversaw technical workshops and engineering competitions and managed logistics for events that included robotics hardware and Discord servers. Through my leadership, I helped foster a culture of learning and innovation, encouraging participants to explore their interests in science, technology, engineering, and math.
