I have been associated with teaching since completion of my ACCA fundamental level exams and have taught IFRS at the best institutes of Karachi.After having served as an as an ACCA and CA lecturer at various institutes for more than 7 years, I firmly believe that “Knowledge is Power” and “Sharing knowledge increases the collective well-being in the society”.I have taught ACCA Fundamental papers as well as Professional papers and have consistently achieved over 80% pass ratio for my students. I was associated with Deloitte Pakistan since May 2010 contributing to an experience of more than 2 years. As a Senior Consultant, I lead teams through the planning, execution and conclusion stages of varied special nature engagements and statutory audits. My experience in the Audit department of the firm has enabled me to develop diversified professional experience with an understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), International standards of auditing (ISA’s), regulatory environments of various industries, key business processes and the accounting and internal control systems of several organizations.SIGNIFICANT AREAS in various sectors of industry audited by me that have contributed to my professional growth: Audited various areas of operations such as sales, cost of sales, property, plant and equipment, treasury and performed valuation / impairment of assets, deferred and current tax provisions, receivables and payables and ensured proper accounting of revaluation, retirement benefits requiring actuarial valuations, share based payments. Performed workings for and validation of various group reporting packages for multinational companies and assisting clients in preparation of financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and corporate laws.EXTRA-ORDINARY ACHIEVEMENTS AT DELOITTE:My strong grip on Microsoft office including development of Macro’s enabled Deloitte to complete a challenging assignment of tax.
