Hamza Abid is a passionate entrepreneur and an oncology consultant who leverages his expertise in hematology/oncology clinical practice to create innovative solutions for healthcare systems and patients. He holds a Master's degree in Advanced Oncology Practice from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), where he also received a prestigious scholarship in cancer research from the American Cancer Society. He currently works at Sutter Health Mills Peninsula Medical Center, Burlingame, CA as a Clinical Nurse Educator for Hematology/Oncology, Neurovascular, and General Surgery departments. As an Entrepreneur, he is a co-founder of OfferedIn Healthcare, a platform that connects healthcare professionals with opportunities to advance their careers and skills. Hamza has over a decade of experience in managing the care of complex and vulnerable populations, training and educating interprofessional teams, and facilitating change and innovation within healthcare systems. He was instrumental in building the first bone marrow transplant program in Nevada, served as a regional subject matter expert lead for Kaiser Permanente, and contributed to uplifting cancer care in the state as the vice-president of the Oncology Nursing Society of the Greater Las Vegas Area. He is also a social activist, philanthropist, author, public speaker, an Advanced Oncology Certified Clinical Nurse Specialist (AOCNS®), and a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS), and the American Nurses Association (ANA).
