Responsible for application of revenue recognition rules pertaining to multiple element arrangements (MEA) and documentation of accounting position for Cadence’s revenue generating activities on a global basis across varied business models, product lines and distribution channels. Provide advice and support to Cadence organizations, including Sales Finance and Legal, on complex accounting issues during deal negotiations in order to ensure deals are structured in accordance with Cadence’s Revenue Recognition Policy and US GAAP. Drive and implement changes in all areas related to all revenue processes and customer service. Collaborate with Director of Finance to develop formal review documentation for revenue transactions. Support Director of Finance in establishing formal written policies and quick reference tools on subjects such as revenue recognition and changes in practices. Participate in quarterly reviews with external independent auditors. Prepare quarterly Accounts Receivable analytical reports pertaining to audit requirements Maintain accuracy of SOX 404 policies as it pertains to revenue accounting & monitor compliance of SOX requirements Participate on systems development & enhancement efforts
