I am Han Yi, a professor of accounting at Korea University who is currently on leave to serve as the CEO of the Korea Accounting Institute (KAI) and Chair of the Korea Accounting Standards Board (KASB) and the Korea Sustainability Standards Board (KSSB).Before joining Korea University, I taught accounting at the Steed School of Accounting at the University of Oklahoma in the United States. I received my Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Seoul National University and a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Michigan State University. Since joining the faculty of Korea University's Business School in 2011, I have been conducting on capital market research in accounting with corporate governance emphasis.I have extensive experience in corporate activities, serving as an outside director and audit committee member of many companies. In addition, I have been engaged in public service activities as advisory board members for the Financial Supervisory Service and the Financial Services Commission, an expert member of the Presidential Transition Committee for the 20th President of Korea, and a member of the Presidential Council on National Economy.I am passionate about promoting transparency and accountability in accounting and sustainability reporting and look forward to engaging with like-minded professionals and organizations on LinkedIn.
