I am a Connecticut College graduate with a major in East Asian Studies, a concentration in Japanese, and a minor in theater. During my senior year of college, my passion for my studies drove me to write an honors thesis that combined my interests in a fusion of autoethnography and scholarly analysis, "'Living as Art:' Performance and the Haunting of the Japanese Diaspora." My writing went on to win the Oakes and Louise Ames Prize for most outstanding honors thesis at the college's 104th commencement.Now, I am working as a library assistant at the Killingworth Library, and am enrolled in URI's MLIS program. On the side, I hope to continue my Japanese studies and explore the various forms of art that interest me, from theater to digital art.
