Businesses large and small look to me to solve problems and manage risk. I advise clients on employee discrimination, harassment and retaliation complaints, contract issues, licensing, and construction law. I handle complex litigation, whistle-blower cases, embezzlement, and wage and hour class actions, and I conduct workplace investigations for my clients. With more than 27 years in legal practice, I know the enormous value of preventing litigation whenever possible, but I can be a tenacious advocate when circumstances demand a stronger approach. I draw on my years of experience to help clients achieve successful outcomes. My focus is on building relationships and understanding my clients’ goals. The solutions I offer blend creativity and functionality in alignment with my clients’ business realities. I’m a member of Ryan Swanson’s Employment Rights, Benefits & Labor Group; the Food and Beverage Group; and the Litigation team. When not practicing law, I speak to local schoolchildren about the Holocaust, sharing my father’s story of concentration camp survival in war-torn Czechoslovakia. I have dual citizenship with the Czech Republic and speak fluent Czech. I’m the proud parent of a son who’s a University of Washington graduate and a daughter studying at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. I enjoy life by traveling, skiing, swimming, biking, practicing yoga, and by delighting in the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
