Job Roles• To provide level 1 security activities monitoring from SOC and Level 1 incidence handling.Primary Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities of the SOCaaS Cyber Threat Analyst shall include, but not limited to the following:• Monitor and secure clients’ network infrastructure and mission critical information by 24/7 security monitoring & surveillance.• To analyse the potential cyber breaches, response and escalate the security incident to Customer without violating the SLA.• Daily cyber threat intelligence treats consolidation for Vulnerability Threat Notification.• Produce daily, weekly, and monthly report for customers.• Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.• Communicate security and compliance issues to our clients in an effective and appropriate manner.• Keep self-update on current cyber security trends and news.• Conduct monthly, weekly or ad-hoc scanning for suspicions activities, applications, malware and vulnerabilities.• To undertake any other duties and responsibilities that the Management assigns.

Threat Detection and Investigation:- Conducted in-depth investigations of security incidents and non-compliance using industry-standard tools and techniques such as RSA Netwitness and Sentinel NetIQ. This resulted in identifying and mitigating hidden threats, improving overall security posture.- Analyzed and monitored network traffic 24/7 for suspicious activity, proactively identifying potential security risks.- Performed regular threat hunting to stay ahead of emerging threats and ensure no security events were missed.- Investigated and responded to security incidents, including analyzing indicators of compromise (IOCs) and conducting root cause analysis within WAZUH SIEM.Network Operations Centre (NOC):- Monitored daily operations of the client's IT network, ensuring a maximum uptime and performance for all servers and applications using PRTG Network MonitoringSecurity Awareness and Knowledge Sharing:- Stayed up-to-date with the latest security threats and vulnerabilities by conducting daily research.- Created weekly vulnerability notification alerts/articles for clients, in raising awareness of emerging threats like ransomware, malware, DDoS, phishing, and other security events.- Contributed to knowledge sharing by serving as a trainer/tutor for new SOC analysts.Adaptability and Continuous Improvement:- Pioneered the exploration and adoption of a new SIEM system within the company such as Wazuh Grafana and Graylog, demonstrating adaptability to new technologies.- Participated in creating new monitoring dashboards using Wazuh Grafana to optimize security analyst workflow and improve efficiency.Additional Skills:- Provided prompt and accurate troubleshooting and responses to client requests.- Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills by researching and investigating issues with a critical mindset to determine root causes.- Prepared regular Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Security Incident report on time.
