I have been working on the Encounters Project for over a year as a research engineer. When I started, my responsibility was creating an archiving system for the French local media research activities of the project. Later, I started the analysis and classification of the data regarding the completed media research. I drafted reports and articles for the future/potential publications of the project. Most recently, I moved onto conducting qualitative/ethnographic fieldwork in Paris and in Strasbourg as a part of the French branch of the project. Throughout this project, I gained experience working in a team and in autonomy both in English and French. It was an opportunity to acquire organisational skills as well, with the multiple conferences we organised throughout the duration of the project.

In the second semester, I started teaching 'Sociology of Religions' in French to second-year undergraduate students as a complementary class to the main lecture taught by Anne-Sophie Lamine. My teaching experiences were a great motivation for me to pursue a teaching role in academia. I also completed an intensive training on 'Internationalising Education and Teaching a Subject in a Foreign Language' offered by the University of Strasbourg.

I had the pleasure of teaching the English language class to Masters 1st and 2nd year students in Sociology for a semester.I planned out nine sessions for two different classes, created a syllabus and a curriculum, helped students with their English language skills, provided them guidance for written, oral and academic knowledge and tips.Although it seemed like a challenge at first, it was a beautiful and motivating way to discover my passion for teaching university students.

After being selected among many students in my class, I was one of the students selected to mentor 4 students from my high school, Saint Michel’s prep classes. Along with activities that helped us get to know one another, for our last year, we were charged with helping them find a path for the future.

1 month internship in the extent of a British partnership.

This experience in Virtua Consulting was a debut for my interest in sociology. I was charged with adapting a questionnaire and conducting research in high-schools within the frame of their market research for a well-known food products maker in Turkey.
