Responsible for managing greenfield development of data infrastructure and renewable and distributed energy generation projects from site identification through permitting/design. - Develops multiple projects across several stages and asset classes, including data center campuses and utility-scale solar plants - Currently managing solar development projects pre-construction totaling 650 MW - Currently managing data center campus projects totaling up to 1000+ acres and 800+ MW IT - Leads site development activities from negotiation and acquisition of greenfield projects through environmental de-risking, buildability and financial feasibility studies, and entitlement processes - Tracks overall project spend and schedule as well as individual task progression of internal resources and 3rd party consultants - Engages team members and leadership through corporate governance processes for approval or wind-down of projects - Develops and improves tools and processes across several projects over several years; tweaks approach to development in new areas - Builds, owns, and maintains relationships with planning and utility experts in project communities and municipalities, including political and municipal leaders - Monitors and analyzes project interconnection queue status and documentation - Optimizes project value within expectations and limitations of potential long-term owners through schedule and risk identification and mitigation - Identifies, communicates, and manages risks of projects to appropriate project stakeholders
