Environmental Engineer
Current-Research and Development: Advanced City’s GI knowledge and optimized program implementation• Supported the first 5-year pilot and analysis report for City’s GI-based, 25-year, $1.5B CSO regulatory program, with statistical analysis, piloted projects reports, and proposed recommendations.• Improved city’s GI design guidelines and specifications from built projects trouble-shooting and desktop research, including inlet sizing, dynamic routing calc., soil comparison, infiltration testing.• Coordinated multi-million dollar stormwater research programs that partnered with federal agency and academia as Department’s program manager to steer research directions, facilitate cooperation with research partners, and deliver outcomes to wider department staff audiences.• Calculated GI system capacity from construction drawings for watershed compliance and modeling.-Data Mining and Database Management: Assured data insight and engineering vision for GI evolution• Developed statistical algorithms and automated result visualization and reporting to select influential factors of GI construction cost using ANOVA and linear regression in R. • Maintained a cloud-based water level monitoring data management interface in R and SQL. -Proof-of-Concept Project Implementation: Advanced cutting-edge GI techniques for scaling up• Piloted the first infiltration column project in the City as project manager, in charge of contract management, design technical support, HydroCAD modeling, deliverables review, and construction estimating and scheduling.• Minimized technical uncertainties and institutional barriers for mainstreaming the piloted techniques by documenting the process and collaborating with staff from policy, legal, and designs.
