• Responsible for developing & implementing new applications for a business line of over 100 million - from a portfolio of over 10 specialty and commodity derivatives across a range of downstream applications• Downstream application platforms include Mining & Drilling solutions, Inks/pigments/coatings, Agriculture &Water solutions and Transportation materials• Provide technical support for over 10 different production units (MIBC/BK, Plasticizers, acetate esters, methyl amines, maleates, and etc.) in Cangrejera (Mexico) and Frankfurt (Germany) plants• Managed stage gate process with Six Sigma rigor and worked closely with marketing, commercial and manufacture teams to move R&D projects from concept to commercialization

• Executed well thought out plans with partners to meet key milestones• Managed an international group of chemists, engineers, analytical and testing personnel in laboratory experiments and process development• Oversaw construction and operation of 3 piloting facilities of four joint-developed projects

• Designed and scaled up several grades of new liquid crystal polymer (Vectra) with low-cost monomers for electric & electronic market

• Developed water-soluble polyvinyl alcohol copolymers (Vytek) with good oxidation resistance for coatings and films applications in pool chemicals
