As a crucial part of Finnish curriculum, mother tongue and home language instruction is intended for all basic education students and preschoolers in the belief that diverse command of pupil’s native language also supports learning other languages.Due to the corona pandemic, we had to make a transition from contact teaching to distance learning and teaching. My roles include:- designing online interactive language learning activities for the pupils;- executing various game-based learning platforms as supportive and effective medium for learning home language;- designing online art activities for the kids to promote their creativity, self-expression, even connections and interactions with all online participants.

4Kids is an educational and fun English club for children aged 3-9. In 15 years of successful operations, 4Kids has created a cheerful and encouraging English learning environment to help the kids develop their motivation, confidence, and enthusiasm towards language learning. As a part of 4Kids family, my responsibilities are:- leading a total of 5 clubs at different comprehensive schools in Helsinki and Espoo areas, namely Pakila Montessori Daycare, Aleksi Daycare, Tehtaankadun ala-aste school, Mankkaanpuro school, and Granhultsskola Swedish school;- managing correspondences with the parents, ensuring our curriculum and approach can be maximised with the support of parents at home.
