I have worked in the corporate world for over thirty (30) years. My sectoral experience includes telecom, infrastructure, consumer businesses, rural development and distribution, management consulting, water, and social sector, in all those instances not only did I run those companies but also scaled them up significantly. Also have served on the boards of several companies both in India as well overseas i.e., Africa and Southeast Asia. I have had diverse experiences in my professional life which has helped me to understand the nuances of each business and sector. However, something that cuts across all my professional assignments is the investment and time that I have devoted in training and mentoring my teams. I am making my decisive albeit somewhat entry to the social media. I have been often fascinated by the question, as to how would (or does) the business experience of a professional impact/manifest in his/her personal life? In my case a substantial amount of my business experience reflects in the way I conduct myself personally. For example, the financial management in business can seamlessly be implemented in personal life, so also the case of investments, purchases, weekly, monthly objectives, or overall professional/personal goal. So, my messages to the readers would include common rules that impact both business as well as personal life; note that my areas would be quite diverse but relevant all the same.
